A Day of Discovery

A Day of Discovery

A day of discovery
on the journey into my soul
I came upon a roadblock
that interferes with my creative flow
I began a dialogue with my Muse
about a revelation
from the days of long ago
A lie that conceived
a false actualization
I carried it in my heart’s womb
and nurtured it like a child
leading my soul to lay
inside the devil’s tomb
Then the Truth shined His Light
and birthed me from this death
lifting me up with His hand of might
then exhaling into my soul
His living breath
inspiring my creative flow
along the journey
into my soul’s divinity.

Gloriously Drenched!

Gloriously Drenched! - 2

Another glorious day
given by my generous God
to a lovely and beautiful
soul that is ever so flawed
grateful to be a chosen child
adopted and accepted eternally
no longer defiled and beguiled
or tormented internally
but instead lifted from the miry clay
redeemed and delivered to live
a new life each and every day
with a hope that is fierce
and a faith that is strong
that will carry me through
when the trials seem too long
for my fears He did subdue
and my thirst He has quenched
in mercy, forgiveness and love
I am gloriously drenched! Amen!

Striving

Striving

Living in hopes of loving You
the way You deserve to be
in my heart I desire it true
for You made me to be free
each day I strive to make it so
each day I falter in this choice
yet forgiveness to me You billow
Your praises I sing with my voice
Your love abounds upon this soul
lifting it up, through, and beyond
each and every emotional shadow
and upon this heart grace is dawned
You loving me and me loving You
each day this is my purpose to be
each day I will strive to make it true
for all that You do and give to me.
